Easy July 4th Flag Cake

Pin It We have a July 4th tradition of making a festive and colorful flag cake using fresh berries and whip cream. This is super easy for kids to make as it uses store-bought ingredients, though you can make the cake and frosting from scratch if you wish.

Easy July 4th Flag Cake

• Buy cake mix and follow the directions on the box. You can also buy a cake instead.
• Let the cake cook completely before spreading with whip cream (for a lighter texture) or canned vanilla frosting (for a richer texture).
• Use whole fresh blueberries to represent the "stars" area of the flag. 
• Cut strawberries in half and lay flat on the cake to create the "stripes" on the flag.
