Last night I attended a private pre-party event for Hanna
Andersson in celebration of its grand opening at Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington, New
York on October 25, 2012. With this location, the
Swedish-based retailer with stores nationwide now has two in Long Island.
Hanna Andersson stores offers clothes with fun, whimsical
designs and bright colors for newborns to kids age 12. The fashions also
include family collections of outfits for moms and dads to match their kids.
Customers
should note that Hanna Andersson uses European clothing sizes which measures in
centimeters, but finding the right size is easy as conversion charts to U.S. sizes are
prevalent throughout the store.
At the event, guests previewed Hanna Andersson’s holiday
offerings in the bright, spacious store. The store’s layout provides plenty of
room for stroller access, including in its beautifully-decorated fitting room.

Hanna Andersson also offers
gorgeous Christening clothes. Other special lines include a Star Wars one based
on the retailers’ new partnership with Lucas Films (available November 12). I also previewed the Spring Collection coming
out in December and the New York
inspired line featuring apples and pears due out in January 2013.

Customers shopping at the Hannah Andersson store at the Walt
Whitman Shops on opening day, October 25 will receive 20% off their entire
purchase. While supplies last, they’ll also receive
an organic cotton tote bag with a $75 purchase. As part of the retailer’s
community outreach, the store will be donating 20% of all Grand Opening day
sales to the to the Long Island Children’s Museum & Make-A-Wish Foundation of
Suffolk County.
