How to Cut the Cord on Cable and Switch to Streaming to Save Money

 

After getting fed up with rising cable bills, we cut the cord, stopping cable completely and switched to streaming. We didn’t have any of the extras like movie channels, yet the increases continued. By finally cutting the cord, our monthly bill was reduced from almost $100 a month to $16.

We had tried calling the cable company to see if there were any promotions or other ways to reduce our bill, but they could offer little relief. Therefore, bye, bye, Cable Company.

Know that you do not have to be a slave to cable as there are other, less expensive options. There are many pros and cons you’ll need to consider to determine if cutting the cord is for you.
