Disclosure: I received free products to host a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate. All opinions are my own.
A few months ago my family and I attended the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, a conference for Influencers that took place on both land and sea. We had a blast, and my kids were so sad when it ended. Fortunately, we had a chance to bring some of that Disney magic back home. I recently hosted a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate at The Little Gym to spread Disney love to local families.
Our magical day of fun included a group of excited, active 2-to-4-year-old preschoolers. The event started with an open play session in the gym set to music from favorite Disney films. Our Little Gym teacher, Rocky, led the kids in activities that helped them to develop gross motor, listening, and social skills. The children loved playing with hula hoops and balls as well as walking on the balance beam, hanging from monkey bars, jumping, rolling, and everything in between.
Afterwards the kids played a modified age-appropriate version of the Hidden Mickey Hunt made popular at Disney Parks. Our little Mickey fans searched for Hidden Mickeys taped onto bean bags placed around the gym. We had the kids face the wall as we hid the Hidden Mickeys. We told them not to peek (which of course made them want to peek!). They had so much fun with this game.
It was then time for arts and crafts. What do preschoolers love? Crayons and stickers! The kids colored pictures of Mickey and Minnie to take back home. They also made their own Mickey Sorcerer’s Hat by decorating blue party hats with star and Disney character stickers. The kids wore their completed hats with pride.
Of course it’s not a party without cupcakes. My toddler squealed, “Cupcake time!” as eager faces eyed the chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting. The cute Mickey cupcake liners and toppers made the treats all the more special. Coordinating Mickey plates, cups, napkins, and tablecloth complimented the Mickey-themed decor in the party room.
With full stomachs and big smiles, the preschoolers left with goodie bags that included HP Social Media Snapshots courtesy of HP, a #DisneyKids partner. HP Social Media Snapshots lets users print directly from their mobile device via HP’s free downloadable app. Users can create 4×5 inch photo prints with re-stickable backing from social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and more.
A big thanks to all of the #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate partners. American Tourister provided Influencers with a very cool Sofia the First roller luggage. My toddler loved it so much she played with it by dragging it up and down the hallway. The new Softsoap Hand Wash Plus Lotion kept little hands clean while providing a moisturizing touch. My little one loved her Finding Dory Pillow Pet which is a stuffed animal by day and pillow by night. Pop Secret microwavable popcorn was a hit with butter popcorn lovers, and HP and MyPrintly made creations easy and fun with its HP Card and Invitation Kit and HP Social Media Snapshots.
I’d also like to thank Meena from The Little Gym for partnering with me for this event, as well as to Rocky for guiding our little Mickey fans during the playdate. Check out The Little Gym website and follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see all the great things they have to offer for kids ages 0-12 years old.
