I love going to the spa, but like many moms, spending time and money on myself often takes a backseat to the needs of my child. Now moms and other women can experience the spa at home with products from the popular New York City-based Bliss Spa.
Years ago I had the opportunity to experience a massage at Bliss Spa. I had been intrigued with the spa because celebrities like Kate Hudson, Uma Thurman, Liv Tyler, and Mariska Hargitay had touted its services. The high-end spa pampered me and other guests in its modern yet comfortable environment. It was a memorable treat.
Recently I had the opportunity to test two new Bliss Spa products and was looking forward to using these products at home.
The Youth As We Know It Anti-Aging Moisture Lotion with SPF 30
As a busy mom, any product that offered more than one benefit was a plus. This new Bliss Spa daily moisture lotion actually featured 10 age-battling benefits on its package:
- Protects from UVA and UVB rays
- Promotes collagen production
- Visibly diminishes wrinkles
- Visibly fills fine lines
- Helps increase cellular oxygenation
- Evens skin tone
- Hydrates, plumps and firms
- Replenishes and soothes
- Smoothes skin’s textur
- Brightens and clarifies
The pump in the container easily dispersed the light lotion onto my fingers. The lotion absorbed easily into my skin. I loved that it contained SPF since I’m often in the sun. I’m fortunate not to have a lot of wrinkles so I cannot speak to how the product worked on that aspect, but did notice my face felt hydrated and skin tone appeared more even and smooth.
Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask
This ‘dew’-it-yourself facial is engineered to mimic Bliss Spa’s famous Triple Oxygen Treatment Facial. Benefits on the package were:
- Provides a quick fix for “emergency” skin and also prevents future problems.
- Packed with grapeseed extract to hydrate and stimulate sluggish skin.
- Delivers oxygen to the skin with innovative Fluid02 technology.
- Lightens and tightens skin with the most active powerful form of Vitamin C available.
- Protects cells from free radical damage with powerful antioxidants.
After my daughter went to bed I used the mask. I pumped the mask liquid into the palm of my hand, and massaged it onto my damp face. I liked the light fresh scent and the mask didn’t feel heavy on my skin. After several seconds the liquid transformed into a thick white lather. Per the instructions I waited five minutes. During this time the foam dissipated and turned clear. I then rinsed it off and inspected my skin. There was no irritation, redness, or tightness. My face looked clean and bright and felt fresh.

Pricing
Bliss Spas cater to a clientele who typically have the means to afford its services. For us regular folks going there is an occasional treat. Buying their products for home use is definitely less expensive than going to the spa. There are no tips to pay and you can use the home products multiple times. Still, the items are not inexpensive as you’re paying for a reputable brand that is of high quality. The Bliss Spa products for use at home would be great gifts to receive – even if you buy them for yourself as a well-deserved indulgence.
