I love No Bake recipes. Like the name implies, you don’t need an oven. There’s no timely pre-heating and baking. My daughters and I made a No Bake recipe we’re calling “No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls.” This recipe is so easy that even kids can make it.
There are only five ingredients. You mix four of the ingredients in a big bowl. The peanut butter and oats hold the balls together. The chocolate chips and unsweetened cocoa powder adds the chocolatey flavor. After mixing, shape the mixture into balls, then roll them in sprinkles. The kids love this part the best because they get to use their hand to shape the balls and then they can lick the chocolate off their hands.
That’s it, such a simple recipe! You can eat the balls right away. However, I find I like the taste and texture of the balls better when they’re chilled because then they’re more solid.
This recipe is super versatile. We love sprinkles so we used them as the topping to roll the balls in. However, you can use any topping. Here are some suggestions: nuts (any kind), coconut, butterscotch chips, M&Ms, crushed candy canes, crushed Oreos, granola, crushed graham crackers, and even more chocolate chips. It’s great to have such a versatile recipe for when different family members prefer certain toppings.
Just a heads up that if you leave the balls out at room temperature for awhile they start to “melt” a bit and get soft. But there’s an easy solution. Simply place the balls back into the refrigerator to make them more solid. Easy peasy!
Hope you enjoy this No Bake sweet treat!
